Chiarello on the Early Show
After reading PPYKAG last night and feeling inadequate that he cannot make a burger that people will pay $5000 for, Michael Chiarello appeared on the Early Show this morning, cooking up what he dubbed a "Hamburgese Enorme." This is Italian for "really f*ing big hamburger."
No word yet on how Chiarello will deal with his feelings of inferiority over his lack of an awesome lion's-mane-esque haircut.
We Kind of Forgot They Are Doing This For Charity
All snark aside, the Masters contestants are indeed doing this all for a good cause. If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area and want to support Hubert Keller AND be a good person at the same time, consider attending Make-a-Wish Foundation's Top Chef Masters finale screening party, Wednesday night in San Francisco.
A ticket is only $25, which includes wine and a selection of gourmet bites prepared by California Culinary Academy students. Proceeds benefit Greater Bay Area Make-a-Wish, Keller's charity of choice.
Special thanks to Patricia Wilson at Make-a-Wish for the tip about this event. For more about Greater Bay Area Make-a-Wish, click here.
